<> Gather up all the things that will be required to make your process worthwhile. Some of the things include a drill and duct tape among others.
<> Start the first step by opening the printer's carriage door that is located on top. Opening the carriage door will allow you to view the toner cartridge perfectly as you lift it carefully out of the printer.
<> As you lift the HP 1010 toner
cartridge out, be sure that it is facing in an upright position. This means that you should be viewing its back as you lift it.
<> Use the drill that you have in drilling a hole that is approximately three inches from the left hand side and another ½ inch from the bottom side. As you do this, be sure that you have made the hole big enough so that the spout of the toner fill-up bottle fits perfectly. Exercise a lot of caution while doing the drilling so that no plastic shreds fall into the cartridge.
<> Take the toner fill-up bottle and turn it slowly upside down. Hit the bottle on an even surface e.g. a table so that you can release the toner. Once you have done this, open the toner fill-up cap and gently insert the spout into the refill hole. It is important to slope the bottle up carefully so that the toner streams gently into the cartridge. Wear disposable gloves to avoid toner from getting on your hands.
<> Gently remove the toner fill-up bottle from the cartridge. Make sure the fill-up bottle is securely replaced on it s original location before you continue. Use the duct tape to cover the refill hole. After doing this, shake the HP LaserJet 1010 toner cartridge
carefully sideways in order to distribute the toner in an even manner.
<> Take the toner cartridge and place it gently into your HP 1010 toner
printer. Ensure that you have placed in its rightful position shortly before you close the carriage door.
